Overview
Weapons accessories encompass the ancillary equipment — attachments, tools, carrying systems, and maintenance equipment — that support the effective use and care of weapons. While not weapons themselves, accessories often determined how effectively a weapon could be used in the field and have been important elements of military equipment throughout history.
